(LWAU)
We are patient focused, non-profit organization co-founded by patients in 2022 dedicated to supporting individuals affected by lymphedema in Uganda. Our mission is to empower those affected by this chronic condition through education, support, and advocacy. We strive to create a community where individuals with lymphedema can connect, share their experiences, and find resources to manage their condition.
Our association aims to bridge the gap in awareness, education, and support for individuals with lymphedema .

Lymphedema is a chronic condition characterized by the abnormal accumulation of protein-rich fluid in the interstitial tissue, leading to swelling in one or more extremities. It affects millions of people worldwide, yet it remains a misunderstood and often misdiagnosed condition.
